Sign up for WeChat
After installing WeChat, you can sign up for an account through the following methods:
1. Sign up with mobile number
Open the WeChat app and tap 「Sign Up」>「Sign up with mobile」> choose your region code> enter your mobile> set a password.
2. Sign up with Facebook
Open the WeChat app and tap 「Sign Up」>「Sign up via Facebook」. WeChat will then redirect to Facebook page to request permission to log in. After that, choose your region code, enter your mobile number, and set a password.
Assistance registration
After completing the registration, if you are prompted to undergo further assistance verification or required to verify again when using certain features, you can refer to the following steps:
1. Invite a nearby friend or another WeChat user to scan a QR Code using their WeChat to assist with your registration.
2. If no WeChat users are available to assist, you can verify with bank card by tapping 「Verify via Payment Card」> Follow the on-screen instructions to input the required information> Complete authentication (if any)> Complete your registration.
3. Alternatively, you can verify through WeChat Pay by tapping 「Verify and Activate WeChat Pay」> Follow on-screen instructions to input the required information> Complete authentication (if any)> Set a payment password> Complete your registration.
Notes:
1. Each mobile number is only eligible to create one WeChat account.
2. For registration assistance, results may vary depending on the invited user's country or region. Hence, referring to the on-screen prompts will be more applicable.
3. To ensure a smooth sign-up process, please do not use a non-official version of WeChat, disconnect from any VPN during registration, and make sure your device and network are within a safe and reliable environment.
