Adding Friends from Your Phone's Contacts

You can import your phone contacts and find friends on WeChat based on their phone numbers.

 

Steps to Add Friends:

1. Open WeChat and go to 「Contacts」 > 「New Friends」 > 「Mobile Contacts」.

2. Tap 「Add」 next to the people you want to add.

3. The request will be sent to the selected people.

Notes:

  • If you’re using this feature for the first time, WeChat will request permission to access your phone's contacts.
  • Your phone numbers will be encrypted, and only friends who are also on WeChat will be identified. Your address book data will remain private and invisible to others.
