If your profile information is incorrect, you can log in to WeChat and update it as follows:
- Go to the Me tab.
- Tap your user alias or profile photo at the top of the screen.
- On the My Profile screen, you can edit your name, profile photo, gender, region, "What's Up" description, and any linked social media accounts.
Note: For security reasons, your WeChat ID cannot be changed after it has been set.
You can control who can search for, view, or add your account by navigating to:
「Me」>「Settings」>「Privacy」>「Friends‘ Permission」>「Methods for Friending Me」.
- Disabling WeChat ID prevents others from finding your profile by searching your ID.
- Disabling Phone ensures users cannot search for your account using your phone number, nor will your account appear in "New Friend" recommendations based on contacts who have saved your number.
