WeChat is designed with your privacy and security in mind. As such, WeChat does not store your chat logs or message history on its servers, ensuring that third parties, including WeChat itself, cannot access the content of your messages.
Since your message history is not stored on WeChat's servers and is only available on the device(s) that originally sent or received the messages, WeChat does not automatically transfer your chat history between devices. To access your previous message history on a new device, you can use the Chat History Migration feature, Favorites, or back up your chat history via WeChat for Windows.
