1. Turn off Make Last 10 Moments Public
By default, WeChat enables Public Moments, allowing strangers to view your 10 most recent posts. You can turn this off by following these steps:
Go to「Me」>「Settings」>「Friends' Permissions」>「Moments」. Find and toggle off「Make Last 10 Moments Public」.
2. Set Permissions for Moments
WeChat allows users to set permissions for Moments if you don't want certain WeChat friends to view your posts, or if you're not interested in someone's updates.
Hide My Posts:
Sign in to WeChat and go to「Me」>「Settings」>「Friends' Permissions」>「Moments」>「Hide My Posts」. Tap「Add」to add someone to the list, preventing them from viewing your Moments. Tap「Remove」to remove a friend from the list, allowing them to view your Moments again.
Hide Their Posts
Sign in to WeChat and go to「Me」>「Settings」>「Friends' Permissions」>「Moments」>「Hide Their Posts」.
Tap「Add」to add contacts to this list, so their new updates won't appear in your Moments. Tap「Remove」to remove them from the list, allowing their updates to appear in your Moments again.
3. Set Visible to Friends
You can select Last 6 months, Last 3 days, Last month or All. Go to「Me」>「Settings」>「Friends' Permissions」>「Moments」>「Visible to Friends」.
Moments posted before the selected time limit will be hidden from your friends.
4. Set Share With in a Particular Moment
You can also set permissions for a specific Moment before posting it. To do so, tap「Share」with at the bottom of the edit page, then:
Select All: All of your contacts will be able to view this Moment.
Select Private: Only you can see this Moment.
Select Share With: Choose the contacts you want to share this Moment with.
Select Don't Share: Choose the contacts you don't want to share this Moment with.
