Quick Set-Up in 3 Steps
Step 1: On your mobile phone, download or update your WeChat app to the latest version. Register with your phone number or sign in.
Step 2: Look for Weixin Pay through「Me」>「Pay and Services」>「Wallet」.
Step 3: In「Wallet」, tap「Bank Cards」> Add a Bank Card. Read the Weixin Pay User Service Agreement and Privacy Policy, then tap「Agree」. Follow the on-screen steps to enter your identity information. Tap「Next」to add your card. Follow the instructions to complete the process.
Note: If you use your passport for identity verification, you will receive a notification asking you to upload a copy of your passport.

A: No. You can use your international phone number as long as it can receive SMS verification codes.
Q: What types of transactions does Weixin Pay currently support for international cards?
A: Currently, international cards can be used for daily purchases within China's mainland, but do not support certain features, such as red packets and money transfers. Kindly refer to the payment page for specific instructions.
Q: Are there any transaction fees?
A: Yes. Transaction fees are waived for single transactions under 200 RMB. A 3% transaction fee will apply for single transactions above 200 RMB. If you request a refund, the transaction fee will be reimbursed partially based on the refunded amount. Refer to the payment page for more details.
