Freeze your WeChat account to prevent unauthorized access. On the login page, tap 「More Options」at the bottom >「WeChat Security Center」>「Freeze Account」>「Freeze」, then follow the instructions.
If you previously froze your account, follow these steps to unfreeze it after confirming your account is secure:
Open WeChat > Tap「More Options」>「WeChat Security Center」>「Safety Tools」>「Unfreeze Account」> Follow the on-screen instructions to complete the process.
Note:
- Avoid freezing or unfreezing your account too frequently, as excessive activity may lead to your account being permanently frozen for security reasons.
- Once your account is frozen, you cannot use it until you choose to unfreeze it.
- After unfreezing your account, reset your WeChat password and enable Account Protection to enhance your account's security.
